Aged in neutral oak barrels for 10 months.
Whole cluster pressing and gravity flow movement of the juice helps retain the varietal character of the delicate Riesling grape. The juice is fermented in stainless steel tanks with special yeasts cultivated from German origins that can withstand cool temperatures.
Processed and fermented much like the Riesling, Traminette’s unique lychee character, along with other complex aromas and acidity, allow this wine to be developed as both a still wine and a sparkling wine.

Viognier, Barrel Aged
Viognier, Virginia’s State white wine grape, can be very versatile from a wine making standpoint. It’s varietal character can express several different profiles from citrus, pear, and melon, all of which are influenced by sugar levels in the grape at harvest. This particular wine was harvested at 23 degrees brix, with a potential alcohol of 12.5 – 13%. After fermentation in stainless steel tanks, the wine was aged in French oak barrels for 8 months.
This is a blended of 50% aged in stainless steel and 50% aged in oak barrels.
A 50/50 blend of Chardonnay and Viognier. This blend incorporates the mineral character of Chardonnay and the tropical fruit flavors of Viognier.
